Chris Ballard is one of those rare people who knew what he wanted to do, studied it, and has been working in the design industry for 18 straight years since. Originally an industrial designer, Chris has become one of Australia’s leading retail designers. The secret to Chris’ creativity is he is a natural problem solver. He’s the guy who pulls things apart to find out how they work, then puts them back together again. Chris sees a design problem as a challenge just looking for a solution.
Chris studied industrial design at RMIT and straight out of university, joined a design agency as a Junior Designer in 2000. As the agency’s client portfolio grew, Chris moved up through the ranks to Senior Designer and in 2010 he moved to Sydney to open the company’s first interstate office. In 2016, Chris was promoted to Design Director of Asia and moved to Hong Kong to oversee the design teams in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Jakarta. After two years in Hong Kong, Chris returned to Australia to launch Lex Design Agency.Read More.
Renée Ballard’s love of retail started early. Her first memories that shops were her spiritual home are from the roaring ‘80s, when Georges department store would throw their annual Christmas party. Running alongside Renée’s love of retail, is her ten years of experience in marketing and communications roles.
